Cloudling Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Cloudling (the mobile app) collects, why, and how it is used. We try to keep things simple: Cloudling does not require an account, does not show ads, and does not sell or share your data with anyone.

What we collect

• An anonymous device ID generated on first launch, stored only on your phone and used as the key for any data you choose to send us.
• Onboarding details you choose to enter: your usual daily puff count, target, taper length, pod price, puffs per pod, and currency. These are sent to our server so we can save and improve your personalised plan.
• Optional account details if you fill them in on the Account screen (such as a name or email). These are sent to our server so we can recognise you across devices and respond if you contact us.
• Whether you completed the optional billing screen (a yes/no flag only — no card details are ever sent to or stored on our server).
• Optional in-app feedback: when you tap the envelope icon and submit the feedback form, we store the options you ticked, anything you wrote in the note, and your app version. We also record the IP address and device user-agent the request came from for abuse prevention only.

What stays only on your phone

• Your daily puff log.
• Your settings, preferences, and saved sound choices.
• Notification and alarm settings.
• Any card details you enter on the optional billing screen (cardholder name, last four digits, expiry, and card brand). These are stored locally so you can see them in your account, and are never transmitted to our server.

How we use your information

• To personalise your taper plan, your stats, and your savings calculations.
• To improve Cloudling and understand how the quit process is going at an aggregate level.
• To respond to you if you contact us for support.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not share your data with advertisers.
• We do not run ads in the app.
• We do not require an account or sign-in.

Where your data is stored

Information you submit is stored in a private PostgreSQL database hosted on Replit (United States). Access is restricted to the developer using a private admin dashboard protected by a password and brute-force lockout.

Children

Cloudling is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not designed for children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete any information associated with your device at any time. To do so, email the address below with the words “Delete my data” and we will remove your record.
